Tracking a nice start to the week before heat returns

TONIGHT: Mostly clear and cool with lows in the upper 40s to low 50s.

TOMORROW: Mostly sunny and pleasant with highs near 80.

EXTENDED: After a beautiful weekend, temperatures remain pleasantly cool into Monday morning as we'll still be under the influence of northwesterly flow. High pressure begins to build to our west and eventually moves in our direction by mid-week, sending temperatures into the low 80s by Tuesday as winds begin shifting to the south. Upper high pressure centers over Mid-Missouri by the end of the week, keeping sunny skies and increasing temperatures into the lower 90s through next weekend and beyond. Rain chances are looking limited for the next 7 days, with the best chances to our west early in the week along the edge of the high pressure ridge.
