Tracking spotty rain chances into Labor Day

TODAY: Mostly cloudy and mild, with highs in the upper 70s to around 80 degrees. Isolated showers are possible in western Missouri throughout the day.

TOMORROW: Cloudy and comfortable, with temperatures in the 70s on Labor Day. Spotty rain is possible, but much of the holiday should stay dry. Rain totals will be less than a quarter of an inch.

EXTENDED: Isolated to scattered rain is possible each day through Wednesday, keeping temperatures below average in the 70s. Rainfall will be very light, less than a quarter of an inch across the area. A cold front on Wednesday will bring an end to rain chances, followed by a steep cooldown with highs in the lower 70s on Thursday. Temperatures will rebound quickly to the upper 70s by next weekend, still below average for the first week of September.
