Tracking a warm and sunny Saturday, light rain chances by Labor Day

TODAY: Mostly sunny and warm with highs in the mid-80s. Cloud cover steadily increases throughout the day.

TOMORROW: Mostly cloudy, with temperatures struggling to reach the low 80s. Isolated showers are possible in western Missouri.

EXTENDED: Scattered rain continues on Labor Day and Tuesday as a weak disturbance trudges through the region. Dry time is still expected for parts of the holiday, and temperatures remain mild in the upper 70s under cloud cover. A fast-moving cold front will bring another round of light rain on Wednesday, and a big cooldown into the lower 70s and upper 60s on Thursday. Rain totals remain limited throughout the forecast, under a half inch areawide. Temperatures look to rebound quickly back to the upper 70s next weekend.
