Tracking cool, fall-like temperatures for the rest of this week
TONIGHT: Mostly clear with river valley fog developing overnight. Lows in the upper 40s to low 50s.
TOMORROW: Mostly sunny and comfortable with highs in the upper 70s.
EXTENDED: . Temperatures were more than 10 degrees below average today and we can expect a cool night as skies clear out, with some patchy river fog developing before daybreak. Morning lows fall to the upper 40s to low 50s, and we'll see highs in the mid-upper 70s again tomorrow with more sunshine. Clouds increase on Wednesday as a disturbance rounds around high pressure, bringing a chance for some showers across western and southwest Missouri Wednesday night into early Thursday. Rain chances look slim for us here in Mid-MO, but expect more cloud coverage. We'll see more sunshine on Friday that lasts into the weekend. A few more disturbances are possible in the vicinity over Labor Day weekend, but the amount of dry air and lack of a southerly flow from the Gulf should keep rain chances limited and temperatures cooler than normal. We'll see highs around the upper 70s to low 80s through Labor Day.Â
