Tracking a few spotty showers tonight, cooler Thursday
TONIGHT: Mostly clear with a few showers and rumbles early along and north of Highway 24. Lows in the mid-upper 60s.
TOMORROW: Mostly sunny with highs in the low to mid-80s.
EXTENDED: I'm tracking an area of some weak convergence over southern IA and northern MO, not a front per se, but enough forcing to get some light showers going along and north of Highway 24. These will be very widely scattered, so most of the area stays dry into this evening. We'll remain mostly clear with lows in the mid-60s. Tomorrow is even a bit cooler with highs in the lower to mid-80s, and a cool Friday morning with morning temperatures in the low 60s. Another cold front moves through overnight Friday into Saturday from the northwest, bringing a chance for a few showers through early Saturday morning. Behind that front, we'll see temperatures only top out in the low to mid-80s on Saturday with a noticeable cool down Saturday night into the upper 50s. Cooler, Canadian air settles in from Sunday through early next week, with sunshine and highs in the mid-upper 70s and lows in the 50s. By the end of the week, the pattern tries to flatten back out with potential rain chances by next Friday.Â
