Tracking sweltering heat to end the weekend

TODAY: Mostly sunny and hot with a heat index above 105 degrees in the afternoon. Pop-up storms are possible late in the day, but relief will be very limited.

TOMORROW: Intense heat continues into the workweek with the feels-like between 100 to 104 degrees. Isolated afternoon storms are again possible, continuing into Monday night.

EXTENDED: The heat index may reach triple digits again on Tuesday as we wait for a cold front late in the day. Scattered showers and storms are possible late Tuesday through early Wednesday, bringing a good cooldown the rest of the week back into the low 80s.
