Tracking continued intense heat through the weekend

TONIGHT: I'm tracking isolated storms throughout the rest of the afternoon before sundown. Winds will blow out of the southwest at 5-10 mph as temperatures fall into the mid 70s by the end of the night.

TOMORROW: I'm tracking more isolated storms possible throughout the majority of the day, but the main focus will be the continued intense heat. By the afternoon, it will feel like 100-105 degrees area-wide as winds briefly shift into the north at 5-10 mph. This is why a Weather Alert Day is in effect for Sunday. EXTENDED: I'm tracking temperatures feeling like they are in the triple digits through Tuesday afternoon before a cold front arrives in the evening. This will bring chances of showers and storms in the evening which will last through Wednesday morning. After this, temperatures will be in the mid 80s each afternoon and plenty of sunshine will be expected.
