USPS audit finds deficiencies ‘in all five areas’ for St. Louis P&DC, NDC

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

An audit from United States Postal Service Office of Inspector General determined that all areas reviewed for the St. Louis Processing and Distribution Center and Network Distribution Center and seven delivery units serviced had deficiencies.

The audit – which was made available on the Inspector General’s website – showed issues including clearance times, delayed mail, late or canceled trips, scan compliance, security of registry items, and safety and security for the P&DC and NDC.

Areas reviewed for delivery included delayed mail, package scanning, arrow keys, carrier separations and transfers, property conditions and package separations.

Post office locations reviewed included Ballwin, O’Fallon, St. Charles, Maryville Gardens, Southwest Station, Clayton and Creve Coeur.
