Woman seriously hurt after motorcycle crash in Montgomery County Monday evening

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A 47-year-old Montgomery City woman was seriously hurt after a motorcycle crash involving a deer just before 7 p.m. Monday in Montgomery County, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.

The report states the woman was riding her 2015 Harley Davidson Softail Classic motorcycle west on Rt. N near Graveyard Hill Rd., when she hit a deer in the road, causing the motorcycle to flip over, throwing the woman from the bike.

A second motorcycle, a 2017 Harley Davidson Softail Classic, driven by a 56-year-old Montgomery City man, hit the woman's motorcycle, causing the bike to go off the right side of the road, according to the report.

The woman was taken to University Hospital by Montgomery County EMS with serious injuries. The man was uninjured.

The report states that neither of them was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. Both bikes were driven from the scene.
