Tracking triple digit heat before storms bring some relief

TODAY: I'm tracking temperatures feeling like 100-105 degrees by the afternoon hours as winds blow out of the southwest at 10-15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph. Mostly sunshine is expected throughout the majority of the day.

TONIGHT: I'm tracking winds continuing to blow out of the southwest at 10-15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph as temperatures fall into the mid 70s by the end of the night. Clouds will gradually start to move into the area.

EXTENDED: I'm tracking another day of triple digit feels-like temperatures by Saturday afternoon before showers and storms slowly move into the area. Storm chances will continue throughout Sunday and last throughout the majority of next week. The best potential for widespread rainfall will be Sunday-Monday before dissipating over the next 7 days. Temperatures will take a slight hit, starting in the mid 80s at the start of next week, but will get back up into the upper 80s by the end of the week.
