Mizzou offensive lineman earns fourth preseason All-American recognition

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
Cayden Green has added another achievement to his list of preseason accolades.
The Lee's Summit native was named to Sporting News' preseason All-America team on Thursday, representing the fourth time that he's been recognized as an All-American ahead of the 2025 season.
With his latest accomplishment, Green has received All-American honors from Sporting News, Walter Camp Football Foundation, Athlon Sports and Phil Steele. He's also been selected as a preseason first-team All-SEC honoree and made the cut for the Outland Trophy watch list, which is awarded to the top interior lineman in college football.
The Lee's Summit North graduate is striving to build on an impressive sophomore season, which he appeared in the starting lineup in every game. Green blocked for an offense compiled 2,926 passing yards and 2,138 rushing yards last year, including 26 touchdowns on the ground. He also played left guard for an offensive line that was the nation's No. 7-ranked unit in time of possession (32:54) and No. 10-ranked group in red zone offense (46-for-50). At the same time, Mizzou's offensive line allowed the fourth-fewest tackles for loss per game (4.62) in the SEC last season.
Green will kick off his junior season on Thursday, Aug. 28 at 6:30 p.m. against Central Arkansas.
