Tracking triple digit heat index values tomorrow into Saturday

TONIGHT: Mostly clear and mild with lows in the lower 70s.

TOMORROW: Hot and humid with highs in the lower 90s and a heat index between 100-105.

EXTENDED: We'll clear out overnight with lows in the lower 70s, and tomorrow and Saturday look to be the hottest days with no rain to give us a break. The heat index will reach 100-105 tomorrow and Saturday, with a heat advisory in place from 1-8PM for the western half of the state. We'll see a slow moving cold front to our north try to approach late in the weekend as the upper ridge breaks down, giving us a chance at a few showers and storms Saturday night into Sunday, with repeated efforts by the front each day into early next week. A big cool down is not expected, with the highest rain totals staying north of Mid-Missouri. Highs reach the upper 80s from Sunday into next week with a heat index in the mid-90s.
