Tracking warm conditions with rain chances next week
TODAY: While there is a storm system to our northwest, that is expect to fizzle out by the time it makes its way toward central Missouri. We could see a few spot showers up near areas such as Macon, Marshall, and Moberly, but majority of us remain dry and hot today. Temperatures will reach the lower 90s today, with heat index in the mid 90s.
TONIGHT: Temperatures are back in the lower 70s overnight today, we remain clear with a calm south southeast wind.
EXTENDED: The story continues as heat and humidity rise steadily over the next few days. Thursday we'll see partly cloudy skies and heat index values increasing to the upper 90s. We'll stay this way until we hit around late Saturday and into Sunday, that's when our rain chances begin to pick up. Low pressure may bring some showers into Sunday - those rain chances look to remain all the way into Tuesday. We might have just a slight break in incredibly high temperatures from this, as highs during these chances look to be in the upper 80s.
