Tracking overnight fog, gradually warming temperatures this week
TONIGHT: Mostly clear with fog developing overnight, especially in river valleys and low lying areas. Lows in the lower 60s.
TOMORROW: Mostly sunny, warmer, and pleasant with highs in the mid-80s.
EXTENDED: We could see some patchy fog in low lying areas again tonight, with morning lows in the lower 60s. Tomorrow will be a touch warmer in the mid-80s, but we'll see a shift in the upper pattern putting us squarely underneath high pressure through the rest of the week. High temperatures reach the low 90s with a heat index in the mid-90s Wednesday, upper 90s Thursday, and 100-103 Friday and Saturday. As a disturbance rolls through the region Saturday night into Sunday, we could see scattered showers and storms. Severe weather isn't expected, but there could be some heavy downpours in some of the storms given the amount of moisture in the atmosphere this weekend.Â
