Tracking a storm to push heat away

TODAY: We hold on to the Weather Alert Day for just one more day, as heat index values are expected to reach up to 110 by this afternoon. Skies will be partly cloudy, time outside should be limited.

TONIGHT: Tonight we have the chance to see some short lived pop up showers, with temperatures remaining in the mid to lower 70s.

EXTENDED: While Wednesday does still look to remain fairly warm with temperatures still in the lower 90s, most of the heat is the thing of the past for the next few days. This is due to a trough lowering itself into our region, also bringing some storm chances. The SPC Outlook holds us in a marginal threat level for those storms that could last all afternoon tomorrow. After the system makes its way through, we're left with below average temperatures, seeing only the upper 70s on Thursdays and a super pleasant weekend up ahead.
