Tracking one more day of extreme heat before showers and storms cool the region
TONIGHT: Overnight lows cool to the mid-70s with mostly clear skies.
TOMORROW: Tuesday welcomes the last ABC 17 Stormtrack Weather Alert Day in the serious of dangerous heat as the heat index looks to rise up to 108 degrees across some areas in Mid-Missouri. Skies remain mostly sunny with the actual high reaching into the mid-90s.
EXTENDED: Wednesday welcomes showers and storms mid-day. Some moderate downpours and gusty winds remain the primary threats currently. These showers and storms will look to remain scattered across the region through Thursday morning before clearing skies. Highs remain into the lower 90s Wednesday before a dramatic cool down lasting throughout the second half into the upcoming weekend. Highs reach into the upper 70s throughout the second half of the week.
