Tracking triple-digit heat and limited rain chances this weekend

TODAY: Isolated showers are possible in northern Missouri, but nearly everyone will remain dry. An Extreme Heat Warning begins at noon as temperatures climb to the low 90s and the heat index rises to 100 to 105 degrees.

TOMORROW: Another round of showers and storms is possible early Sunday in northern MO. Still, most remain hot and humid as the heat index again soars to 105 or greater.

EXTENDED: A string of ABC 17 Stormtrack Weather Alert Days begins this weekend as dangerous heat builds across the area. A final round of showers and storms may develop in northern Missouri early on Monday, but rain chances drop the rest of the week, and heat holds strong. The heat index may exceed 105 degrees each day through Friday as a heat dome persists over the central U.S.
