Missouri Task Force One continues relief efforts in Texas

BOONE COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

Missouri Task Force One continued their relief operations Saturday along a 10-mile stretch of the Guadalupe River in Kerr County, Texas.

The Boone County Fire Protection District taking to social media to share the latest update. The post said the team, working alongside counterparts from Indiana, Virginia, West Virginia, and multiple local agencies, conducted coordinated efforts utilizing boats, ground crews, and specialized search teams.

BCFPD said after completing their assigned operations, MO-TF1 personnel entered decontamination protocols before returning to the Base of Operations.

The post also included a statement from a MO-TF1 Task Force Leader about their recovery efforts.

“The team is doing well and remains fully committed to supporting our friends and neighbors in Texas. We’ll continue to work hard every day until we are no longer needed. Our goal is to help bring closure to those affected by this catastrophic flooding," the statement read.

Tomorrow’s assignment will focus on continuing the search within the same area. Crews will use boats, trained canines, technical tools, and heavy equipment to delayer and search through large debris piles.
