Tracking a dry but windy Friday before a cooler start to the weekend

TODAY: I'm tracking clouds and light showers/mist lingering through the early morning as temperatures begin in the mid-50s. As we approach this afternoon, sunshine is expected to return, but breezy northerly winds at 10-15 mph, gusting up to 20-25 mph, will play a large role in keeping temperatures from warming past the upper 60s.

TONIGHT: I'm tracking a mostly clear, quiet night as temperatures quickly drop into the upper 40s by the end of the night. Winds will be calmer, blowing at 5-10 mph from the northeast.

EXTENDED: I'm tracking another quiet, sunny afternoon on Saturday, with low to mid 70s in the afternoon. Into the evening, some cloud cover may filter into the area, but limited moisture will keep any impactful weather at bay, meaning dry conditions will continue. Sunday through Tuesday will be similar, with upper 40s/low 50s in the mornings and low to mid 70s during the afternoons, with mostly sunny conditions each day. Wednesday, slightly more cloud cover is expected, but the lack of moisture continues to limit rain chances as Mid-Missouri warms into the upper 70s by the afternoon. After this, the low 80s will return by Thursday afternoon.
