Tracking scattered rain chances with lots of dry time this weekend
TODAY: Rain chances decrease as morning storms move out, making way for a warm afternoon with highs in the mid-80s. Isolated rain is possible south of I-70, but rain chances are mainly further south of the area, beyond I-44.
TOMORROW: Sunday begins slightly wetter, with scattered showers moving in from the southwest in the morning. More scattered showers and storms are possible throughout the day, keeping temperatures a few degrees cooler in the mid to lower 80s.
EXTENDED: A stalled front will bring scattered rain chances over the weekend, but plenty of dry time is expected. As this front lifts north on Monday, it may produce a few isolated storms during the heat of the day, though most areas will stay dry. Better rain chances are likely from Tuesday to Thursday as several waves push the front back through the region. Midweek conditions will be warmer and more humid, with highs returning to the mid to upper 80s and dew points rising into the 70s. This system is expected to slide south again after Thursday, lowering rain chances and dropping temperatures a few degrees heading into next weekend.
