Tracking a warm Independence Day and chance for storms over the weekend.

TODAY: We're blessed with more sunshine today as temperatures look to remain around the mid to upper 80s. Humidity will begin to climb thanks to a southerly wind bringing more moisture and heat to our area.

TONIGHT: Tonight will be similar to last, minus the addition of a few more clouds rolling into the region. Temperatures dipping to the lower 70s and upper 60s.

EXTENDED: The Fourth of July looks to remain fairly clear, with temperatures just reaching 90 degrees. With the increase in humidity, heat index values will remain high, but not unbearable. Southerly wind will continue to bring moisture into Missouri throughout most of the weekend. A weak cold front will dip into our region by Sunday, causing temperatures to fall just a little bit, we'll see mid 80's and pick up the chances for thunderstorms. These rain chances look to stick around for most of the work week as well, with temperatures remaining seasonal. Warmth and humidity has us feeling like 90s over the weekend, and into next week.
