Mizzou offensive lineman named preseason All-American

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
Mizzou offensive lineman Cayden Green is already collecting some preseason accolades, ahead of his second season in Columbia. On Sunday, the junior was named to the Phil Steele 2025 Preseason All-American first team.
The Lee's Summit native had quite a debut season in Columbia, as he was a critical part of an offensive line that ranked fourth in the SEC in tackles for loss allowed (4.62) and seventh for sacks allowed (2.0) per game. Through his 1,504 snaps in 2024, Green helped the MU offense to 2,138 rushing and 2,926 passing yards, as well as 26 rushing touchdowns.
Nationally, Green and the rest of the offensive line finished 10th nationally and second in the Southeastern Conference in red zone offense, as the group converted on 46-of-50 opportunities.
After transferring in from Oklahoma ahead of the 2024 campaign, Green ended the Music City Bowl victory with 41 pass block snaps, zero pressures allowed and an 82.7 pass block grade, according to Pro Football Focus.
