Tracking more dangerous heat Thursday before rain chances on Friday
TONIGHT: Partly cloudy with lows in the lower 70s. Few spot showers diminish by sunset.
TOMORROW: Mostly sunny, hot, and humid with highs in the lower 90s. Heat index values between 97-100 degrees.
EXTENDED: Tomorrow is hot and humid again as highs reach the lower 90s with a heat index near 100. A weak cold front arrives on Friday, perhaps bringing highs back down into the upper 80s with a chance for scattered showers and a few storms. Saturday and Sunday still look hot and humid with highs in the upper 80s and a heat index in the upper 90s. Rain chances will be off and on with plenty of dry time to get to the pool in between. Next week, the upper pattern begins to break down even more, sending a stronger cold front through between Monday and Tuesday. We'll see highs cool back into the low to mid-80s with some rain and a few storms between Monday and Tuesday morning, with more comfortable air settling in by mid-week.Â
