Tracking a few storms tonight, comfortable and nice Thursday

TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy with storms exiting. Lows in the mid-60s.

TOMORROW: Partly cloudy to mostly sunny with lower humidity and temperatures in the lower 80s.

EXTENDED: I'm tracking scattered showers and storms in the wake of this morning's cold front through late this evening, with gradual clearing heading into Thursday morning. We'll be cooler and less humid with highs in the low 80s tomorrow and dew points in the mid-60s, making for a comfortable day before sizzling summer heat sets in in time for the weekend. A ridge of high pressure builds over the Midwest on Friday and lasts into much of next week, keeping any rain chances at bay and allowing highs to reach the low 90s. Dew points are expected to be in the low 70s, yielding a heat index in the upper 90s to low 100s through the weekend into next week.
