Mizzou releases non-conference schedule, SEC opponents for 2025-26 season

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Mizzou Men's Basketball will face a 2025 NCAA Tournament team in 19 of its 31 games this season.

The Tigers have announced the entirety of their upcoming non-conference slate and their opponents for Southeastern Conference (SEC) season. During their 31-game regular season, MU will host 10 teams who appeared in last year's national tournament at Mizzou Arena for the first time in program history.

MU's quest to earn NCAA Tournament bids in three of its first four seasons under head coach Dennis Gates begins with a trip to our nation's capital on Nov. 3 to battle Howard University. Then, the Tigers return home for seven straight games at Mizzou Arena, including their home opener on Nov. 7 against Southeast Missouri State (SEMO).

Notably, Coach Gates will also face his former team (Cleveland State) on Nov. 28 for the first time since taking over as the leader of Mizzou Men's Basketball in 2022. His former assistant Rob Summers was named the school's new head coach this offseason.

The 2025 Border Showdown will be played on a neutral stage this season. Mizzou and Kansas will travel to T-Mobile Center in Kansas City on Dec. 7 to renew their storied rivalry.

Braggin' Rights is scheduled on a Monday (Dec. 22) this year. The annual showdown between MU and Illinois will be back at the Enterprise Center, representing the 44th time in 45 years that the game will be held in St. Louis. The rivalry was played in Columbia during the 2020-21 season, due to COVID-19.

During the 2026 conference season, the Tigers will face every team in the league and play home-and-away series against Arkansas, Oklahoma and Mississippi State.
