Tracking scattered showers and storms lingering into Thursday

TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy with scattered showers and storms. Lows in the mid-50s.

TOMORROW: Mostly cloudy with scattered showers and storms, especially along and south of I-70. Highs in the lower 70s.

EXTENDED: Scattered showers and a few storms are lifting into the area this evening, with off and on rain overnight. There could be a couple spotty storms lingering into Thursday, but the coverage will be more limited. Clouds start to work their way out Thursday night into Friday, leaving us with a partly sunny day. High pressure moves in between Friday and Saturday, giving us more sunshine for the start of the weekend and mild temperatures on Saturday. Low pressure meandering around the southeast will bring more clouds on Sunday, with scattered showers by Monday morning. We're in yet another blocking pattern next week that sits upper high pressure over us by mid-week, leaving us dry and warmer as highs get into the 80s. We could end the week with showers and storms with another stronger system moving off the Plains potentially by Friday into Saturday.
