Mizzou set to induct Tiger volleyball great into Hall of Fame
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
One of the greatest players in Tiger volleyball history will now have a spot in the Mizzou Hall of Fame.
On Wednesday, MU Athletics announced that middle blocker Alyssa Munlyn is the latest addition to the 2025 Hall of Fame class joining, former women's basketball star Sophie Cunningham and former football star Brock Olivo. Mizzou will continue to announce the rest of the class, as the week goes on.
Munlyn ended her four-year career as one of the most decorated players to ever walk through the Hearnes Center doors. She was the program's first four-time AVCA All-American, as she was a dominant defensive force for former coaches Wayne and Susan Kreklow.
She concluded her Tiger career as the program's all-time leader in total blocks (634), block assists (516) and blocks per set (1.27). Her 118 career solo blocks also ranks second all-time in MU history.
The Georgia native's .388 hitting percentage is first all-time in program history, as she holds three of the program's Top-10 single-season hitting percentage performances, led by a .424 mark through the 2016 campaign,
Munlyn's best season came during her junior year, in 2017. She was a national sensation, as she finished with a staggering 189 total blocks, 159 block assists and 1.44 blocks per set.
The middle blocker earned AVCA Southeast All-Region and All-SEC nods all four years she spent in Columbia.
