Mizzou center Peyton Marshall enters name into transfer portal

KMIZ

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A second member of Mizzou's highly-rated 2024 recruiting class is hitting the transfer portal.

Peyton Marshall has announced his decision to explore the transfer portal, following his freshman season with the Tigers. The Georgia native's transfer portal intention was revealed mere minutes after the team acquired a commitment from former Arizona State center Shawn Phillips Jr.

The 7-foot, 300-pound center joins forward Marcus Allen as two talents from MU's No. 14-ranked recruiting class who will test the transfer portal this offseason.

Marshall was ranked as highly as the No. 69-best recruit in the country (247 Sports) out of high school and appeared in 22 games during his first season at the college level. He finished the season with 23 points (1.0 AVG), 25 rebounds (1.1 AVG), six blocks and six steals.

Overall, Marshall marks the fourth player from Mizzou's 2024-25 roster to enter the transfer portal, a list that includes Allen, forward Aidan Shaw and center Josh Gray.
