Rock Bridge quarterback enrolling early at Northern Illinois
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
Rock Bridge High School's standout quarterback will kick off the next chapter of his football career to begin the new year.
Brady Davidson has announced that he will be enrolling at Northern Illinois University (NIU) in January. The NIU signee's early enrollment will put him on a path to participate in the program's spring football camp in March.
The three-star quarterback wrapped up his senior season with the Bruins in November, leading the program to an undefeated conference championship campaign and back-to-back district titles. Davidson earned Central Missouri Activities Conference (CMAC) Offensive Player of the Year honors after completing 68% of his throws for 2,650 passing yards and 32 total touchdowns during the 2024 regular season.
However, Davidson's success spread farther than just the gridiron. He is the only student-athlete in Rock Bridge history to win a CMAC title in three different sports and was named an All-Conference or All-District selection in football, basketball and baseball during his high school career.
NIU just completed its first eight-win season since the 2021 campaign, finishing the year with an 8-5 record after defeating Fresno State in double overtime in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl on Dec. 23. Davidson is joining an NIU quarterback room that was led by redshirt junior Ethan Hampton and redshirt freshman Josh Holst during the 2024 season.
