A 70-year-old Fulton man who was charged with first-degree child molestation is in custody.

Charles Woodrow Easley was charged on Friday with molesting a child in 2018, according to court filings. He was booked into the Callaway County Jail at 3:10 p.m. Friday and is being held without bond. An initial court appearance is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. Tuesday.

The child was able to describe one of the assaults to law enforcement in detail, court documents indicate.

Easley allegedly admitted “it was possible” that he touched the child, court documents say. He initially denied partaking in the assault before admitting to it, the probable cause statement says.
