Endangered Silver Advisory canceled for Boone County man

The Missouri State Highway Patrol

BOONE COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Missouri State Highway Patrol canceled an Endangered Silver Advisory Monday morning for a Boone County man.

MSHP canceled the advisory at 9:27 a.m. Monday after Miller was found safe near his home by law enforcement.

Miller was reported missing Sunday at 5 p.m. after the Highway Patrol said he left his apartment behind the residence to go to the main residence to eat dinner, and he never arrived at the main house.

In a release, MSHP said Miller is diagnosed with dementia and paranoid delusional.

The Boone County Sheriff's Office wrote on its social media that it used a drone late Sunday, early Monday to find a missing 68-year-old man south of Hallsville.

"Shortly before 9:00 am, a Boone County Sheriff’s Office drone operator used the drone’s on-board camera to locate the male lying at an edge of a culvert along a wood line," the post says. "Deputies were directed to the male’s location, where the male was found alive, but in medical distress.  The male was then transported by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment."
