Man dies, girl seriously injured in Camden County crash

SUNRISE BEACH, Mo. (KMIZ)

A 37-year-old man Sunrise Beach man died in a crash Monday in Camden County, according to a crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Earlier on Monday, the Sunrise Beach Fire Protection District posted on its social media that Route F was closed down near Route TT.

The crash report says that a 2014 Dodge Journey – driven by the 37-year-old crash victim – was heading northbound on Route F when it crossed the center of the road while it was exiting a curve. The Dodge and hit a 2010 Chrysler Town and Country head-on, the report says. The Chrysler driven by a 50-year-old woman from Sunrise Beach.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene, the report says. He was not wearing a seatbelt, according to the report.

The woman had moderate injuries, the report says. A 14-year-old girl in that vehicle had minor injuries, while a 12-year-old girl had serious injuries. The woman and the 14-year-old were wearing seatbelts, the 12-year-old was not, the report says. All three people were brought to Lake Regional Hospital by ambulance.
