Rain exiting, tracking lingering clouds for Thursday

TONIGHT: Spotty showers exiting with lingering clouds overnight. Lows in the upper 40s.

TOMORROW: Mostly cloudy with gradual clearing by the end of the day. Highs in the upper 50s.

EXTENDED: Rain showers are exiting Mid-Missouri, but clouds linger through the night into Thursday with stubborn stratus not diminishing until late in the day. Clouds keep us in the 50s, but as skies clear we'll fall off into the mid-30s by Friday morning. Friday is nicer with highs in the low 60s. We can expect a largely dry weekend with clouds trying to fill in, especially on Sunday. Highs make the low to mid-60s. Our next low pressure system will drag a cold front through the area on Monday, bringing around 0.5" to 1" of rain through early Tuesday. From there, a stronger low pressure system sets up shop to our north, bringing a massive cool down and precipitation to some parts of the region. We are more confident in the cold pattern vs. any precipitation affecting Mid-Missouri with about 8 days before that system takes aim.
