PULASKI COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

Both directions of I-44 in Pulaski County are closed due to flooding, according to MoDOT.

The closure is between St. Robert and Rolla and is expected to last several hours.

MoDOT says to avoid the closure, eastbound drivers on I-44 should exit at U.S. route 65 in Springfield to use U.S. Route 60 to U.S. Route 63 in Rolla.

Those driving westbound on I-44 should exit at U.S. Route 63 in Rolla to use U.S. Route 60 to U.S. Route 65 in Springfield, MoDOT said in a press release Monday morning.

More than 100 roads across the sate are due to flooding, according to MoDOT, and travelers are advised to check the traveler's map for current conditions and roads to avoid.
