Power outages reported in Boone, Callaway counties after storms
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
Power outages have been reported in multiple Mid-Missouri counties on Monday.
According to the Association of Missouri Electric Cooperatives map, 80 Callaway Electric Cooperative customers and 49 Boone Electric customers were without power on Monday night. There were 75 Laclede Electric Co-op customers without power in Laclede County.
The ABC 17 News Stormtrack Weather Team predicted severe storms to enter the area on Monday, with tornados being a possibility.
Afternoon
Earlier on Monday, more than 260 Ameren customers were without power in Moniteau County after storms began.
The outage was reported near Clarksburg at 3:44 p.m., according to Ameren’s outage map. The cause of the outage was equipment damage, the map says. The outage were restored before 5:45 p.m.
Another 19 customers were without power in Cole County at 4:42 p.m. just outside of Taos, the map says. A cause and time for restoration has not been announced.
According to the Association of Missouri Electric Cooperatives map, 83 Three Rivers Electric customers in Maries County were without power on Monday afternoon, as were 25 Crawford Electric Cooperative customers in Gasconade County. The Maries County outages were resolved by 5:45 p.m.
