Widespread rain overnight, tracking potential severe storms tomorrow
TONIGHT: Showers and storms ramp up overnight, with winds gusting up to 25 mph. Lows near 60.
TOMORROW: Scattered showers are possible early, with highs reaching near 70. Strong storms possible in the evening ahead of a cold front.
EXTENDED: An active weather pattern continues tonight into tomorrow with showers and storms becoming more widespread overnight as moisture continues to be drawn in from the southwest. The morning commute will likely be soggy with strong winds, and we'll see muggy and warm conditions into the afternoon with temperatures near 70. Scattered storms develop ahead of a strong cold front to our west by late afternoon or early evening, eventually forming into a long line that could produce damaging wind gusts. A few tornadoes can't be ruled out, especially along the leading edge of the line. The severe threat looks to diminish by or before midnight, with trailing scattered showers through early Tuesday morning. The rest of Tuesday will be breezy with highs in the lower 60s and cloudy skies. Wednesday and Thursday look pleasant as high pressure returns, bringing sunshine and highs in the low 60s. We could see another system that brings rain and storms by the end of the week into Saturday.
