Tracking a toasty end to the week before a big cool down

TONIGHT: Mostly clear with lows in the lower 50s.

TOMORROW: Mostly sunny and warmer with highs in the low to mid-80s.

EXTENDED: We'll be toasty to end the week with highs in the low to mid-80s tomorrow and even warmer temperatures to start the weekend with highs in the upper 80s on Saturday. The Northern Lights could be visible the next two nights, especially across northern Missouri. Anytime between 8:00 p.m. and 3:00 a.m. they could be seen on the horizon, but may be better viewed via a long exposure camera. A weak front rolls through on Saturday night, increasing clouds and bringing a cool down for Sunday as temperatures fall into the lower 70s. We'll be even cooler to start next week with Monday morning temperatures in the 40s and highs near 60 through Wednesday. We'll have to watch out for some frost on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings as temperatures dip into the mid-upper 30s. We'll climb back into the 70s by late week, with perhaps a little rain next weekend.
