Repairs scheduled for I-70 bridge in Rocheport after recent crash

ROCHEPORT, Mo. (KMIZ)

Repairs will begin next week on the bridge on Interstate 70 near exit 117 in Rocheport, according to a Thursday press release from the Missouri Department of Transportation.

The bridge was recently damaged after a vehicle hit the bridge, the release says. Repairs will begin on Wednesday, Oct. 16 and is expected to be completed in 25 days, the release says.

At its September meeting, the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission said it would spend $365,616 on the repair project, the release says.

During construction, one lane of Interstate 70 will be temporarily diverted using the off-and-on-ramps at Exit 117. Access to Routes O and J at the bridge will be temporarily closed. The release says a detour for Route O will direct motorists to the Route BB exit (Exit 115), while Route J traffic will be detoured to the Highway 40 exit (Exit 121).
