Large police presence in West Columbia Saturday night

A large police presence was seen in a neighborhood in West Columbia Saturday night.

An ABC 17 News reporter saw nine Columbia police department vehicles and multiple officers in the 1400 block of West Worley Street with guns pointed toward a residence.

Officers could be heard asking someone inside to come out.

A bearcat arrived on the scene shortly after 8 p.m.

CPD spokesman Brian McNeil told ABC 17 News police were called to the area for a report of shots heard at 7:30 p.m.

There were no injuries reported or property damage found, according to McNeil.
