Eastern Missouri man killed in Callaway County I-70 crash

WILLIAMSBURG, Mo (KMIZ)

An eastern Missouri man was killed when his utility truck lost control on Interstate 70 in Callaway County on Wednesday morning.

Clayton Hulme, 27, of Troy, Missouri, was pronounced dead at the scene near the 162 mile mark of I-70 eastbound. The call came in at about 9:30 a.m., according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.

The report says Hulme crossed the center line of eastbound I-70 and hit a trailer being pulled by a semi-truck. Hulme's Ford F-250 then skidded off the left side of the road, hit the median cable and landed on its top.

The tractor-trailer driver, Thomas Goin, 54, of Tonganoxie, Kansas, was uninjured.

An ABC 17 News reporter saw about 10 emergency response units at the scene. The road was partially blocked for hours after the crash.
