Tracking slightly cooler conditions for Labor Day before another warm-up arrives

TODAY: I'm tracking any chances for isolated showers decreasing throughout the rest of the morning hours, meaning most will remain dry as temperatures start in the mid-to-upper 60s out the door. By the afternoon hours, partly cloudy sky conditions are expected as temperatures warm into the upper 80s. Lower humidity will be present throughout this as winds blow out of the southeast at 8-12 mph, keeping the afternoon hours a bit more comfortable compared to recently.

TONIGHT: I'm tracking quiet, mostly clear conditions persisting overnight as winds shift further into the south at 8-12 mph. By the end of the night, temperatures are expected to drop into the mid-60s area-wide.

EXTENDED: I'm tracking a quick warm-up throughout Tuesday afternoon as warmer air is ushered in from the south. Mid to upper 90s are expected by Tuesday afternoon, with it most likely feeling closer to 100. Wednesday will still be hot, with mid-90s expected, but an incoming wave of cloud cover ahead of shower and storm chances will help keep anyone from getting too close to any extreme heat index values. Chances of precipitation will be gradually increasing throughout Wednesday, with the best potential for widespread activity arriving overnight into Thursday morning. This will bring back cooler weather, with temperatures only getting up into the low 80s Thursday afternoon, then into the mid-80s Friday afternoon. Temperatures are likely to remain in this range through the coming weekend, with more limited chances for showers and storms as well.
