Missing Springfield, Mo., man found dead in Camden County

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Foul play is not suspected in the death of a Springfield, Missouri, man whose body was found Wednesday in a wooded near a Camden County hotel.

Brent L. Johnson, 59, was reported missing by family Monday, a Camden County Sheriff's Office news release says. Security video showed him leaving the Old Kinderhook hotel late Sunday, going to his vehicle and then walking away, the release says.

A family member who was part of a volunteer search team reported they had found Johnson's body Wednesday afternoon in a wooded area near the Old Kinderhook golf course, the sheriff's office says.

His body was taken to Southwest Forensics for an autopsy.
