FULTON, Mo. (KMIZ)

Three suspects in the deadly Tuesday shooting in Fulton appeared in court on Friday morning.

Emmanuel Brown, 20, Taeon Logan, 23, and Quiara Walton, 19, of FultonĀ all appeared in Callaway County Court by video on Friday.

Brown applied for a public defender, while Logan and Walton said they are working on hiring an attorney.

All three suspects have a council status and bond hearing scheduled for July 26 at 8:30 a.m. in Callaway County.

Walton is charged with first-degree murder, while Logan and Brown are charged with accessory first-degree murder for the shooting death of Jakiem O. Braggs, 19, of Fulton, according to online court records.

Investigators say Braggs was shot and killed on the 1200 block of Kathy Street in what police called a possible "ambush."

Callaway County Prosecutor Ben Miller said all three suspects are being held without bond, and the judge will decide whether or not to place bond at their next hearing. From there, Miller said the case will either be set for a preliminary hearing or presented to a grand jury.

"A case of this magnitude where you're talking about you've got a death of someone and it could be any variety of murder, these cases take years," Miller said. "It's not months, it's years."

A juvenile was also taken into custody in the case on Wednesday in Boone County.

Miller said they are also currently still searching for two more suspects.

He is asking anyone with information about the case to share what they know with the Fulton Police Department or Callaway County Crimestoppers.

"Our office, along with law enforcement, always want to make sure that they're doing the right thing, that you have the right people charged with the right charges," Miller said. "The only way that we do that is with information."

Court documents say Walton "lured" Braggs to the street after they were fighting on Snapchat. Logan, Brown and a minor were all allegedly waiting behind a car to shoot Braggs when he got to the scene.

They claimed they shot him the head three times when Braggs' gun jammed. Documents say Brown told an investigator that he was expecting "retaliation on both side" due the shooting.

According to a FPD press release, the identity of these suspects will not be released at this time to protect the integrity of the case.
