COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
A soy oil experiment that went array was the cause of a June 18 evacuation at the Agricultural Engineering Building on the University of Missouri’s campus in Columbia, according to a damage report.
The report states that $50,000 in damage was reported. Previous reporting indicates a "pressurized release" caused a response and evacuation. Previous reporting states that one person had minor injuries from inhalation.
A Columbia Fire Department spokesperson told ABC 17 News on June 18 that the call didn’t involve a fire, though it came over the radio as an “explosion.”
The experiment damaged Room 163 in the building, according to the report.
