Woman accused in Conley Road Walmart shooting charged with more felonies

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A woman who was accused of shooting at another woman on May 24 in the parking lot of the Conley Road Walmart in Columbia had more charges filed against her on Friday.

Whitney Eliesh Nevels-McKee, 35, of Columbia, was indicted by grand jury on Friday. She is now charged with two counts of carjacking, three counts of armed criminal action, one count of second-degree kidnapping, three counts of unlawful use of a weapon, one count of second-degree assault, illegal gun possession, receiving stolen property and attempting to steal a gun.

An arraignment for the new set of charges is set for 9 a.m. Monday, June 24. She is being held at the Boone County Jail without bond. She was previously charged with second-degree kidnapping, two counts of second-degree assault, two counts of carjacking, two counts of armed criminal action, two counts of unlawful use of a weapon, shooting at or from a vehicle and illegal gun possession.

McKee is accused of pointing a gun at a woman and shooting it near the woman’s head. Multiple witnesses told police that they saw Nevels-McKee fire the gun, court documents say.

Another witness had stated that she was approached by Nevels-McKee in the parking lot while driving a car, and Nevels-McKee acted like she was going to pull out a gun, court documents say.
