Boonville man seriously injured in Moniteau County motorcycle crash

MONITEAU COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Boonville man suffered serious injuries Tuesday in a crash on Highway 179 near Chapel Road in Moniteau County, according to a crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred as a 2005 Harley Davidson Sportster – driven by Robert Hern, 60 – was heading northbound when it went off the right side of the road, hit a ditch and overturned.

Hern had serious injuries and was flown to University Hospital. He was not wearing a helmet, according to the report. The Harley had minor damage, the report states.
