Tracking isolated showers and storms, hot Monday
TONIGHT: Increasing clouds with a few showers and storms overnight. Staying mild with lows in the upper 60s to around 70.
TOMORROW: Isolated to scattered showers and storms. Highs in the upper 80s.
EXTENDED: Tonight will be mild as clouds trap in warm, humid air that was present across Mid-Missouri during the day. Decaying storms from a severe complex out west will move in before daybreak, bringing rain and a few rumbles of thunder. A few isolated storms will be possible in the afternoon heat, capable of producing heavy downpours and frequent lightning. An ABC 17 Stormtrack Weather Alert Day will go into effect on Tuesday afternoon for the threat of severe storms capable of producing damaging winds, hail, and tornadoes through early evening before transitioning to a wind threat through late evening. Wednesday will be dry behind the front, but if the front is slow to move, we could see a few storms pop up ahead of that in the afternoon. Temperatures will be much cooler in the upper 70s. Thursday and Friday look mostly dry outside of an afternoon storm or two with highs near 80. The weekend looks seasonably warm with another cold front possible between Saturday and Sunday.
