The brother of Denver Nuggets forward Michael Porter Jr. was arrested over the weekend in Boone County on suspicion of DWI.

Jevon Porter, 20, was arrested at 1:31 a.m. Saturday in Boone County, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol arrest report. Charges have not appeared on Casenet. He was arrested under suspicion of driving while intoxicated and speeding. The arrest report states that Porter was released on summons.

The Father Tolton High School graduate has spent the past two seasons playing at Pepperdine University in California. He has since transferred to Loyola Marymount. A roster and photo for next year's team was not available on the school's athletic website.

Loyola Marymount Assistant Athletic Director for Communications Matthew Lerman said in an email that the school is “aware of recent reports in the media and are gathering information about the matter.”

Jevon Porter isn't the only Porter family member who’s ran into legal trouble in recent years. In January 2023, Coban Porter was arrested following a fatal crash in Denver, Colorado, according to an Associated Press report. The report states that Coban Porter smelled of alcohol and was slurring his speech after he ran a red light and crashed into another vehicle and killed the driver.
