Eldon man dies after being hit by truck
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
An Eldon died early Tuesday after being hit by a truck on a highway.
Tyler Tompkins, 37, was pronounced dead at Lake Regional Hospital a little after 6 a.m. He was hit by a Chevrolet Silverado 1500 pickup truck while in the road at South Pine Street and Highway 52 in Eldon, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.
The report did not say why Tompkins was in the road.
Tompkins death was the third on a state highway in the patrol's Troop F this year.
