KMIZ

MONROE COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Hermann man was seriously injured in a single-vehicle crash in Monroe County early Sunday morning.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says Clifford Deatsch, 64, was driving his 2007 Nissan Xterra southbound on Highway 15 at 1:50 a.m. when he went off the left side of the road, hit a driveway and went airborne throwing him from the SUV.

Deatsch was flown to University Hospital with serious injuries, according to Troopers.

The online crash report says Deatsch was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

The Nissan Xterra was totaled in the crash, Troopers said.
